Tally Ho Motor Inn has 24 well-appointed (3.5 Star) motel style units and a home-style restaurant with real country hospitality. Senior Citizens & groups travelling in buses are our speciality. All of our accommodation units are ground level with under-cover parking. We now offer Free Wireless Internet to all rooms.

Dine in our restaurant with a wood fireplace and air-conditioned comfort. Home style cooking is our speciality.

We also cater for rest breaks, morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea.

Located 1.5 kms north of Tenterfield Post Office on the New England Highway and with only a 3.5 hours drive south from Brisbane, why not come down and stay the night? This will enable you to have an easier drive to Sydney or if travelling further south possibly arriving a day earlier.

 

For those travelling north, a stop overnight in Tenterfield will allow easy access to the Gold or Sunshine Coasts the next day and for those travelling inland, most destinations are within reach the next day.

• Sir Henry Parks gave his maiden Federation speech in Tenterfield which led to the town being known as "The Birthplace of Our Nation".
• Captain Thunderbolt (alias Fred Ward) plied his trade as a bushranger in the area.
• Major J F Thomas who defended Harry "the Breaker" Morant was resident here.
• Banjo Patterson was married in a Tenterfield church and Peter Allen, the entertainer was born here, grandson of the Tenterfield Saddler, the main character in his beautiful song.
